Windows Media Player Control
The Microsoft® Windows Media™ Player control provides scripting interfaces so you can add Windows Media Player functionality to Web pages. By embedding the control in an HTML page, you can use Microsoft® Internet Explorer to craft visually complex graphical environments that take advantage of a rich and dynamic event model. This control enables you to enhance the end-user experience by exposing all the media formats available within the Windows Media Player to viewers of your Web site.

Installing the Control

The Automatic Installer will check whether you have the Windows Media Player control before downloading the ActiveX control installation program. If you have the current release of the ActiveX control, no files will be downloaded to your computer.

Click the following install link to download the control for Internet Explorer 5.0 or later. When the process is complete, a Windows Media Player control will appear.
